What is the Dixon Community
Education Foundation?

The Foundation was founded in 2003 as a
California non-profit tax-exempt corporation
to raise private funds in support of educational
enrichment for students in the Dixon Unified
School District (DUSD).

Why do we need a Foundation?

An education foundation helps the local
community focusresources to educational programs
requested by teachers to enhance the classroom
experience for their students. This is becoming more
and more important as the state education budget
continues to be reduced.

Teachers may apply for grants twice a year
in a formal application process that includes the
rubric used in evaluating the request.
